Ald's Cosmology

The Physical World

Ald is a terrestrial world covered mostly in water and orbited by two moons, Bijela Jaje and Crno Jaje. Ald is one of many the few planetoids that orbit the sun “Ra”.

Bijela Jaje [Bee-Yel-ah Yah-yeh] is a Ald’s smaller moon, it’s orbital speed causes it to circle Ald about every twelve hours. Because of this, in early times it was used to keep time as in most parts of the world it appears twice per day cycle; once during daylight when it would appear a frosty white as if a distent round mountain top, and once in the evening when Ra’s reflected light gave it anywhere from a soft blue, a pale yellow, or an icey white hue depending on the seasons. Bijela’s name comes from folk stories held in common the world over, litteraly meaning “The White Egg”.

Crno Jaje [Ser-no Yah-yeh] is Ald’s larger and further moon. It moves at a much slower pace, circling the planet about once every day and a half to two days (depending on season). Crno is barely visible by day because of its distence from the planet, appearing only as a slight discolored circle against a blue sky. At night, depending on cloud cover and Ald’s position to Ra, Crno becomes very clear, holding an erie purple glow that shifts from royals blues to deep reds depending on the seasons. Like Bijela, Crno’s name also comes from common folk tales, literally meaning “The Black Egg”.

The dichotomy of Bijela’s pale white light and Crno’s Deep purple make a erie sight in Ald’s night sky, considering they are the only light. There are no stars.

Supernatural World

Ald’s Metaphysical world is strange and mysterious, even to those adept in magic and planer travel. The prevailing from the Royal Order of Magus is that Ald exists in many realities, not as parallel worlds, but as a structured network of worlds each supporting one another. The complicated riddle of Ald’s metaphysical framework is yet to be solved, but one thing is certain, Ald’s current civilizations were not the first to bridge the dimensional boundries.

The dichotomy of Bijela’s pale white light and Crno’s Deep purple make a erie sight in Ald’s night sky, considering they are the only light. There are no stars.
